Hormone Yoga Therapy

Hormone Yoga is a specially designed and very specific sequence of yoga poses with pranayama and visualisation techniques.  The yoga sequence balances your hormones by stimulating the glands responsible for producing them:  ovaries, thyroid, pituitary, and adrenal.

Dinah Rodrigues initially created this yoga practice for herself to cope with her own menopause symptoms and when her gyn admired her glowing health at age 63, she decided to share.  Once she began teaching the practice and seeing result in other women, she realised that, in fact, the pracitce not only reduced menopause symptoms, but also boosted fertility, and eliminated other symptoms associated with the menstrual cycle.  In addition to these benefits, the daily sequence also provides a powerful boost of energy, which is why we suggest you do this practice in the morning.  Dinah discovered through research that, in fact, the practice does stimulate certain glands to produce more hormones promoting better hormone balance and more positive energy.

The practice is a series of traditional yoga asanas in which we practice a vigorous pranayama (stimulating breathing practice), and finally use a Tibetan circulation of energy technique to more the energy to the targeted glands for each pose.  The results are real and impressive, the only catch is that the practice has to be undertaken with commitment - that is, to reach the full benefits of the practice, one must do the sequence five days per week.... the tool is there, will you use it?  Check out my workshop schedule to see when you can learn all about it and try it out.

Who is Hormone Yoga for?

-  Any woman who is currently experiencing symptoms of menopause, such as hot flashes, dryness, night sweats, decreased libido, etc.

-  Any woman 36+ years old who would like to prepare herself to avoid all menopause symptoms.

-  Women trying to conceive.  (To be practiced during non-medicated cycles.)

-  Women of any age who experience heavy and painful periods or PMT/PMS symptoms.

-  Any woman who is curious abut the practice and who wants to boost her feminine energy, beauty, confidence and tranquility.

*Hormone Yoga is only contraindicated for those women who have or have had any type of hormone related cancer, or severe endometriosis.


Dinah Rodrigues has been studying menopause and teaching her detailed and exact yoga sequence in Brazil, and around the world, since 1993.  She worked closely with a Gynecologist, Dr Luciando Nardoza, and her yoga teachers, and gurus from varying lines of yoga, to develop this practice of Hormone Yoga Therapy for Menopause.  To read more about her and the various practices that she has developed see Dinah's website.
