Starting at 10am, I will guide you through some meditation, then we'll do a bit of gentle movement, mudra, and breathing practice to help you relax. We'll finish up with a long restorative yoga nidra (deep yogic rest). Around noon this will be followed by a delicious and nourishing homemade brunch prepared for you by Sophie Lazarski over at Nourish Paris.

Pelvic Floor: Anatomy, Awareness, and Discovery

In this workshop we will discuss the muscular and skeletal anatomy of the pelvic floor and its function in elimination, birth, daily life, and physical exercise.  You'll finally discover where and what your elusive pelvic floor is exactly.  You'll learn to access and breathe with your pelvic floor in order to evaluate your own personal strengths and weaknesses.  From this you will discover what you can do to keep your pelvic floor healthy and strong.  If you suffer from pelvic conditions such as: pelvic pain, leakage with sport or laughing, pregnancy/birth/postpartum recovery, painful sex, prolapsed organs, you will gain insight into the root of these problems and learn asana to aid in healing them.  We will end our session with a guided relaxation to heal the womb and your relationship to your womb.

Bring your friends, sisters, aunts, mom, daughters - anyone with a female pelvic floor can benefit from this workshop.  No yoga experience is required!

Postnatal Pelvic Floor Workshop

This pelvic floor workshop will be postnatal specific and non-mobile babies are welcome. We will discuss the muscular and skeletal anatomy of the pelvic floor and its function in birth and postnatal recovery. You'll finally discover where and what your elusive pelvic floor is exactly. You'll learn to access and breathe with your pelvic floor in order to evaluate your own personal strengths and weaknesses. From this you will discover how to maintain your new post-birth pelvic floor. Being pregnant and giving birth does not automatically mean that your pelvic floor is weak. It's not true that if you have a caesarian you will not need PF reeducation. We will end our session with a guided relaxation to heal the womb and your relationship to your womb.
Babies welcome! If you can come without your baby, that’s fine, too.

Inject your feminine power into your yoga practice.

Join Sharon for a hatha practice in which you will explore and  learn to access the pelvic floor and all its power.  You'll discover your own imbalances and holding patterns and which poses target those muscles.  With this awareness and knowledge you will be able to revitalize your regular practice with your feminine energy and power.  As you discover and incorporate your findings into your asana, you will begin to discover your access to your pelvic floor in daily life completing your core strength.

Nurturing the nurturer.  Yes, Mama, someone needs to take care of you as well.  Open yourself to receive help healing and restoring.  Put your bundle of joy in the loving arms of her Papa, other mama, grandmother, your best girlfriend, sister.  That time will be precious for your baby and your loved one to bond.  Give yourself permission to enjoy two sweet hours of a quiet mind, resting body, and healing womb.

We will start off with a bit of gentle movement for your pelvis, and some stretching for your body (oh those sore shoulders and aching back!!!), then move into techniques to quiet your mind - techniques that you can learn and take with you back out into your life with baby.  Once we get you settled in relaxed and calm, I'll guide you through a blissfully relaxing womb healing meditation and relaxation.
